Greg has more than twenty years experience planning and executing business strategies in a wide range of business models in various management and senior leadership positions. With a diverse background and experience in Finance, Operations, IT and Sales, Greg has participated in and successfully led a number of major corporate initiatives. Successes range from leading profitable growth of acquisitions and business outsourcing models to effective cost management and technology integrations. In addition, Greg has a number of years of experience developing and executing sales strategies in a number of industries.
Currently, Greg is a Financial Consultant with Equitable Advisors specializing in working with privately held companies and their executives. Focus is in the design of deferred compensation plans, M&A and business diversification strategies as well as the design of tax efficient long-term personal financial planning.
He began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick in July of 1988 as an Auditor and soon moved into a position consulting small businesses and managing their financial and tax filing obligations. After four years, Greg joined TransUnion in Chicago, IL and held a number of positions over eighteen years with the company. Beginning his career as Manager of the Corporate Tax Department, Greg led the team of tax accountants responsible for all of the company’s federal, state and local tax obligations including responses to all IRS, state and local audit requests.
Greg next led the Internal Audit department and was responsible for all operational internal audits of the organization. In this role Greg also served as executive lead in executing mergers and acquisitions targeted by the company. Following four years of growing an acquired subsidiary, Greg managed multiple inside consulting engagements that included sales strategy creation, business process improvement and IT integrations and subsequently managed the IT technology for the Human Resources function for a number of years.
Greg finished his career at the company within the sales organization leading product development and the sales team, responsible for a major segment of the company’s revenue. This led to the founding of a business consulting company which resulted in his current focus of work with privately held companies and their executive leaders.
Greg is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. He also passed the CPA exam and currently holds his Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. He is also licensed for Life and Health insurance in several states.
